This is the story of a love that flourished in a time of hate.
Is it written in the stars?
Been holding back for quite some time…
Clocks tick and phones still ring.
Just make a start
And follow me down?
We touched the stars
The beauty so majestic and so free
It’s time to trust my instincts
I need a friend
I don’t want the world, only you.
You’re the solution
— Almost like a prophecy
If I had you, you’d be my dream come true.
It could be so exciting.
Don’t you want a life with me?
Don’t say the answer
A passing aberration
A fairy-tale plot,
We’ve had quite a run
We sure put on a show
What can I say? I’m a sucker for a happy ending
But my heart!
You got more than you gave
Now’s the time to be brave
We have to start somewhere
Be the start
A time and place for us
Is this real?
We’ll have our private little mix
Our future is so clear
You don’t know what my world looks like!
Don’t get hot,
You’ve left only on your own
But look around you
There’s trouble in the air, you can smell it.
Ambition eats right through you.
You left and I fell apart.
You have torn it all apart
I hope you think you’re clever.
Yes! In a way…
But in my heart I know it’s rather sad.
That’s one less thing to worry about
I shall not envy lovers
One more longing backwards glance
Happiness comes when everything numbs.
