ABOUT SKYE

Skye Samantha is a multimedia artist who received her BFA in Photography from SUNY Purchase College in 2022. She is working toward obtaining her MA in Communications and Digital Media from Pace University, which she will receive in 2026. Her practice is based in Long Island, New York. Skye’s work is an eclectic mix of photography, digital and physical collage, and combinations of the three. Her artwork focuses on the exploration of identity, archival documentary collections, and capturing local candids in the towns where she grew up. During the pandemic, she latched onto her roots at home and started creating photographic work surrounding her family and childhood. This led her to the work she currently does around grief and  spiritual beleifs. In recent years, she has been published repeatedly through her work with the Long Island Herald Newspaper since June of 2023.
